I have been looking into getting a steam cleaner to clean our carpets. The one I’m looking at is a bissell quicksteamer powerbrush multi surface deep cleaner. It’s only 99.99 so I’m wondering if it actually works like it says. (I don’t see paying 200+ on a steam cleaner.) My carpets are in good shape since my house was built in 08 but they do have stains thanks to our 2 year old, my husband and our cats and dog. My question is will this cleaner get out my set in stains such as oil from my husband, pet stains, and juice, etc stains? The stains are really light because I have mostly gotten them out with spot cleaners I use but they are still noticable and it is embaressing to have my carpet stained.Also if anyone knows does bissell include the cleaning formula when you buy the steam cleaner? Any other input would also be great.

weeks? I ask bc I do NOT want to spend money on a professional cleaner who most use steam cleaners and I have heard steam cleaners are good but I want to know about people’s experience with them and darker dirt stains on carpet. It would be cheaper in the long run, then to have a professional steam cleaner clean my carpet. So those who have a steam cleaner that works well or does not on carpet I want to hear from you. Also, which brand works better? I have heard Dirt Devil is better than Shark.

I understand there is more than one method for commercial carpet cleaners to clean carpet; steam, chemical, soap and water, is one method better than the other? My tap water is loaded with minerals (mostly calcium and magnesium) so I don’t want to use it.

So my Bissell Pre Heat steam cleaner isn’t shooting water and i’ve looked in the book at what could be wrong with it and none of the things in the book is whats wrong..The belts not broken, Its not that the bladder is empty and its not that its not seated properly. The pump hasn’t lost its prime.Whenever I run it across the carpet there is 1 line on the left side that is actually wet. but the rest is just damp. Whenever I lift it up to spray water its like alittle mist. If anyone could please help me figure out whats going on i’d be very grateful. Thanks.

Hi im going to purchase a steam cleaner to wash my carpet but i also have a vacuum that i use to take off the dirt off my carpet but it really needs a wash thats why i want to buy a steam cleaner. does the steam cleaner also replace a vacuum by sucking dirt up or is it only for washing the carpets? cuz i dont want to buy that on top of buying another newer vacuum

I have a husband, two year old, and cats and a dog so my carpet sees a lot of stains. The stains range from oil from my husbands shoes, drink spills, pet stains, etc. I need a good carpet cleaner to get these things out of my carpet (for a reasonable price) that I can get somewhere like target or walmart. i would like to know if you would recommend me getting it steam cleaned or get it clean with one of those shampoo machine things?

So recently( back toward the end of July) I steam cleaned my carpets with the Bissell pro heat and I use the Bissell pet odor removal and short story is that it still smells (not to heavy, but kinda stuffy not to bad, smell like carpet cleaner). I think it might be mold under the carpet and I do live in the south. I have used baking soda it goes away, but then comes back about the next day.

does anyone know if there are any carpet steam cleaners (that actually work good) on the market that you do not need to use a chemical cleaning solution in addition to the steam. I have a baby, so there are constantly messes, ie) spit up and pee getting on to my carpets. I want to clean them, however do not want to use any chemicals that he will come in contact with when on the floor.
